Water Damage Repair

We are able to STOP water damage from getting worse, and re-mediate many water damage problems. Here are some examples:

Case Study Thermal Imaging – A Ceiling

We love Thermal Imaging !. First used in the military, thermal imaging has trickled down to the consumer level. However, the large-screen units are still prohibitively expensive unless they are being used on a regular basis in a commercial setting. Property damage, can greatly benefit by the use of these sophisticated diagnostic instruments. We feel privileged to own this sophisticated diagnostic tool, we use it on a daily basis.

In a nutshell, they save money. These photos illustrate the cost-saving ability of this fantastic instrument. The general contractor was going to remove and replace this entire ceiling. No one could pinpoint the water damage until thermal imagery was used.( areas in purple). We were able to isolate these areas, dry these areas using commercial dehumidification, and greatly reducing costs as well as inconvenience. No mold, no odor, no sagging drywall, just patch, prime and paint.

This is just one of the many ways thermal imagery can reduce overall project costs.

Case Study Floors – Hardwood

In this case, a gymnasium roof was being replaced but as luck would have it during the night a huge rainstorm broke through the tarps on the gymnasium roof. The next morning a large section of the gymnasium floor was beginning to warp from hundreds of gallons of water leaking through the roof. We were called on by the roofing contractor to mitigate the damage Employing an isolation drying technique for wood flooring, we began work first thing in the morning. We utilized the ultralow ability of a desiccant dehumidification system to begin drying the hardwood. Boy did we get lucky! That floor snapped back right in place perfectly!. Even I was amazed, you literally could not tell that hours before the floor had long gaps in the seams.

Hardwood floors have a mind of their own, sometimes this technique works and sometimes it doesn’t, usually somewhere in between. Mitigating damage is the name of this game but sometimes the results are absolutely superb. The roofing contractor never knew how lucky he was.
